Slammedenuff Gatlinburg 2019

Gatlinburg, nicknamed “The Gateway to the Great Smoky Mountains”, is also a gateway for enthusiasts to come for one of the most unsurpassable automotive shows of the year. With this being the 4th consecutive year, it did not disappoint. This is one of the only shows on the east coast that can bring cars from as far west as Colorado and as north as Canada to one place. This is the reason why Slammedenuff’s Gatlinburg events are so high up in the stance show hierarchy.

For the third year in a row, Vaded Mob has hosted the official premeet for the show. This year was a different venue then the past 2 years and it was about 45 minutes away without traffic from Gatlinburg. Given that, we were unsure how the turnout would be, but that uncertainty was short lived.

The turnout was exponentially better than we could have ever expected. Massive thank you from the Vaded team to everyone that came and hung out for the Gatlinburg premeet!

For vendors, media, and people showing their car on Saturday, that morning alarm comes early. Around 9:30 cars began to roll in and the show opened to the public at 1pm. When I walked into the show to pickup my media pass, I was immediately greeted by a bagged Ferrari 348 on Sevenk wheels (@thatsteez7k), not only that but the owner DROVE that car from Denver, Colorado a few days prior. This along with many other clean builds from all over the country made day one a major success, and although I did not get to spend my whole day in the show I managed to snag a few highlights from the Saturday show.

After the show, Josh (@theraflu) and I had planned on doing a shoot. I was having trouble finding a spot that hadn’t been used by anyone else but after driving around some cabins and using Google Earth, we got to the top of a hill and found the perfect spot.

Day 2 of the show usually comes a little early for most people even though roll in is 30 minutes later, Ill let you figure out why. The second day is for all the crews to come out and are all put in one show to battle for the “Best Crew Quality” award and takes home $300 cash. This is the day the Vaded team showed and there were some insane builds in this Sunday’s show.

Sundays show definitely went above and beyond my expectations. The level of quality builds this year really proves how important this show is to enthusiasts. It is so special to many of us in the community, you meet so many internet friends at big events like this and thats the best part about the car community. Huge thank you goes out to the staff of Slammedenuff for putting on this event and for awarding Vaded Mob the Best Crew Quality trophy! Also, Congrats to everyone that took home a trophy from this weekend, the competition this year was TOUGH! Finally, If you didn’t get a chance to make it out this year, the people of SE are working hard to get this event next year, there a few hoops to jump through but we can only hope it all works out.
